Well we left on an afternoon flight and seats looked pretty good to go Salt Lake City (SLC) to Houston (IAH) and then on to Miami (MIA). We stopped by Brookstone in the IAH airport and used their massage chairs, which was so wonderful and much needed! We got into MIA about 11 pm. and because we didn't want to pay for hotels (being most of them were over $100) and trying to work out transportation, which I brilliantly worked out using the Public Bus so it only cost us $2 per person, except for the fact that it doesn't take you all the way to the Port so you have to walk a little ways (which includes two blocks and over the big bridge to the port) which really isn't hard at all. Which everyone kept saying its way too far to walk so Bruce decided on a taxi... which was freakin $10 just for like a 5 min. ride (those 2 blocks and over the bridge). So after he saw how short it was and pointless for a taxi he was upset, but it didn't help with the night before staying in the airport cause like I said earlier he gets grumpy as soon as we are in an airport and we didn't sleep very well in the MIA airport of course being there from 11pm to about 1030 am. so we immediately checked in for the cruise and went down to our room and slept until dinner. After which we explored the ship more. We also have some wonderful dinner partners... there were 6 spots to our table but we only filled 5...
there was Auvi from Isreal, which came by himself (which you should never do on a cruise and he later admitted that he wished he hadn't told his girlfriend not to come). and then Yuro and Jo (an Asian couple) from Boston. They were all really nice people... i just wasn't used to having other people at our table, because usually my family filled up the whole thing. Bruce wasn't used to it either, because he'd always gone just with work so it was hundreds of kids he worked with that he all knew and they actually took up most the cruise ship! Well the ship took of at 5pm and was on its way to Nassau, Bahamas! I'm excited cause i've never been there before!

Cruise Take off! Dec. 14th and 15th On our way!
Arkansas Visit Dec. 4-8
His sister's name is Tamara and her husband's name is Wade... they have a cute, and hyperactive little boy Tommy, and an adorable, tries to be defiant, and who absolutely adores her older brother... Ashley.Whom i swear is a teenage girl trapped in a 2 year olds body! She is just adorable! They also have one on the way which is exciting! She thinks it's a boy because it's wrestless like Tommy was when she was pregnant with him. What we did was flew into Memphis Tennessee and did a session at the Memphis Tennesse Temple which was amazing!
Then we stayed over night in Tunica in the Harrah's hotel which was awesome! We got an increadible deal on it!
In the morning we ate at their Paula Deans buffet! Which was sooo good but there was too much good food to eat that we walked away bellies hurting!
Then we drove the 4 hours to their house... the other fun thing is that they had guitar hero they were going to give the kids for christmas, but they wanted to test it and make sure it worked and all that so we cracked it out every night after they put the kids to sleep and talked about it in code during the day...
haha and who knew but I am pretty much a pro at guitar hero, which is weird because when i've tried it before i totally sucked it up! :S Well it was fun Friday night I went with her to her GNO (girls night out)while men tried to have as awesome of a party as we did, but everyone knows women throw much better parties. I had so much fun at the GNO. It was at Tamara's friends house Leslie, her husband Brett (who to me looked like a younger version of Will Patton) was there and their adorable little son Austin. And her other friend Stephanie was there. They had mexican theme night so we had enchiladas that Leslie made, which were amazing! She also made some delicious Virgin Margaritas. Tamara and i brought Crepes with Neutella, they were delicious i have never had those before either. Saturday Tamara and I hung out going around to some cute little antique shops and lunch with the kids it was a lot of fun! They also lived just around the corner from Wally World (Walmart) so there were frequent trips there. Sunday we went to church with them and it was really cool they have an awesome ward! We also met Wade's parents... they are really nice people... his dad looks like an older version of Pierce Bronze (to me at least, but apparently he's had that comment a couple times before). Then Monday we got ready to go and made the 3 hour drive to Little Rock to fly home. We were so sad to leave! We had so much fun! We can't wait to go back!
Fish Lake Nov. 21-23
Well every year on the weekend just before thanksgiving my mom's family gets together in Fish Lake resort because we own a lot of it or something like that. Which hardly anybody knows where Fish Lake is and most people haven't even heard of it... it's in southern utah but not quite to St. George it's close to Sigurd... (if u know where that is) but it's a pretty nifty little place really beautiful and calm... at least every time we've gone in the winter... but apparently it's busy as ever in the summer! Back in the day it also used to be the place to go apparently also... i didn't get as many pictures as i wished. But we did go out on the lake for a little bit. We played hide and seek in the lodge and steal the flag when it got dark. I wish i got a picture of the lodge, because it is huge and amazing how they constructed it so long ago, it's amazing what they thought of! Well you can google Fish Lake and it comes up "Utahs Famous Fish Lake" it is really gorgeous!

Nov. 20th Northridge High School "Beauty and the Beast" Play
Look at my masculine husband and that chest hair! woo hoo! Haha!
Camping November 1st
We just load up the rodeo in the back with the sleeping bag and air matress and everything. We go up to some property in Morgan that Zacks grandparents own (or something like that if i remember right)
well they are usually just one nighters and Zack and Meri bring up Zack's parent's (my aunt and uncle's) Ranger... a cute little go cart thing and we go ride around for a while. It is gorgeous up there!
Well this time we also stopped by this huge rope swing that was a total blast! Every time we have gone up though we have a problem with Petey running off and it takes forever for us to find him! So if we take him up we have to tie him up! :( Poor Petey...
Halloween!!!
Well i would have to say that Halloween was awesome! We did awesome on our costumes! But the vampire teeth were the only ones that didn't work out too well... they were kinda lame... I really wanted a pair of those new kind where they are just two single vampire canine teeth that you stick to your canines and you can still talk and do everything pretty much like normal instead of a whole mouthful of plastic you can't do a single thing with while they are in... if anyone knows where to find those i would love to know!
Well we hung out at my parents house a little bit that night because their house is the coolest place to be for halloween night... if not halloween parties! (Those are the best kinds of parties) Because my family builds a small fire in the driveway and serve hot dogs, hotchocolate, some candy, and my dad built a cool contraption of a big screen projector sheet that takes up the entire face of the garage and he has a projector inside the garage projecting the movie so that if people walk in front it doesn't disturb anyone else's movie! Pretty sweet in my opinion!Saturday, December 13, 2008
Twilight... Anniversary Cruise Anticipation/Plan!
Ok so i'm a little behind on a few entries but I thought i would let you know they will be coming shortly! (Hopefully) I just was on and thought that I would add that I finally got onto the Twilight Wagon... I just finished the first book like 2 days ago and absolutely loved it of course! i saw the movie a little bit after it first came out and thought it was amazing! Which made me want to read the book of course so that was a good thing! So i have purchased all the books and am now anxious to start on them! Anywho so that's all i have for right now...
Well actually I am way excited for this next week! Bruce and I leave for our 1 year Anniversary cruise tomorrow... since the flights don't look so good for monday and the scheduling and what not... so since the flights look pretty full just to fly completely there tomorrow we are actually going to fly to Houston tomorrow and stay in the Airport for the night... Bruce wants to spare the expense of a hotel... since they are pretty pricey now... and he says he will be fine with just sleeping in the airport (but him and I know that always as soon as we hit Houston airport he turns into a mr. grumpy gills!) but we will work through it somehow... Anywho... then early monday morning we fly into Miami... we decided the cheapest way of travel and since we have the time... we would ride the Metrorail/Metrobus from the Airport to the Miami Port where the cruise ship leaves from Monday night... the only thing is it doesn't take you all the way there and so we still have to walk about 20 min. over to the port... which is worth it to me, because we are about to start a cruise which we could work off the weight we will be gaining and there are bound to be some shops along the way... (depending on his mood we may just take a taxi) haha... so that's the plan so far! We will take tons of pictures and I will do my best at posting them as soon as we get back! L8as!

Oct. 20th my bday presant from my dad!
So I haven't been repelling in forever and it's one of those love/hate relationships, because it is so fun, but so freakin scary at the same time! I'm not afraid of heights or anything just trying to get down the face of the cliff without too many injuries can be kinda crazy and akward! But we had lots of fun! I'm more someone who only does well on her own two feet... for the most part... skiing, ice skating, roller blading, biking, etc. yeah... not so good at.
So it was just my dad, Bruce, and I we went to the usual spot I've always gone to with my dad and my family and whoever joins us up Farmington Canyon... it was so much fun!
I went 3 times, Bruce went 4, and my dad went once... Mind you i didn't get experimental each time i went down it was just the ususal way... Bruce went down the usual way the first time. The second time he went down half way and then turned upside down and went down further and turned back around to finish. The third and 4th time he went down Ausi Style... (which if you didn't already know is basically jumping off face forward!) Which there is no freakin way in heck i think i will get the courage to do!
This is Bruce's proof of Ausi Style!
My Birthday! Oct. 18th

Barnum and Bailey Circus Sep. 25
Well we had a blast at the Circus! I got tickets through my work for a small discount and I happened to get 3rd row seats!
We had 12 tickets total! My mom, dad, kyra and her boyfriend Tyler, Michelle, Donna, Natalie,
my grandma (my mom's mom), Bruce's sister Julia, Bruce, and I. We had so much fun and they put on an awesome show!
But i tell you what everything there is so freakin expensive!
Bruce and i looked into cotton candy (at seperate times, a sweet little story but i won't go into it) and it was freakin $12!!!! Everyone had a blast. Everyone had been wanting to go for years and we were glad we finally made it!
Lake Powell Aug. 18-23

We spent the first part of the week with a bunch of Bruce's friends in Waweap. We stayed connected to the dock which i thought was pretty cool it stayed cool and we just took the jet skis out to go hiking or any water activities.
Which i tried wake boarding and that was my first time and i tried several times and each time i got better and better!
We had a blast and it was an awesome experience. Well then his friends had to leave on the 21st... and my family had been there all week as well but in Bull Frog with the Smith's family that lived down the street, and their kids and grandkids were there too..
So we... well I decided Bruce and i should drive over there and join them for the rest of the week... Bruce didn't like the idea because it was as long of a drive to get over there driving around the lake as it would be just to drive home, but as he always is he is a good sport about what i want to do... he has a motto of "What baby wants... baby gets!" He is such a sweet heart! So we went over and joined them and that was also a pleasant experience! They found the perfect set up spot for many reasons, the sun never hit the boat so it never got very hot in the house boat (which was nice because we were forced to sleep ontop because of there being 27 people in total), but then again it didn't force you into the water. We had loads of fun and they did many exciting activities that Bruce and I were fortunate to participate in... namely their "Smith Olympics". The lake powell experience over all was very memorable and definately excited to go again!

Hawaii Trip July 5th -14th

The next day we went to the Aloha Stadium and did some bartering which was way fun (I always love bartering), and then flew over to where our time share was in Kona (on the big island). There we saw the
Volcano National Park, the
Green Sand Beach, the
Black Sand Beaches,
White sand Beaches (where Bruce and I did a lot of snorqueling, mostly him, we couldn't keep him out of the water). We also had a chance to do a session at the
Kona Temple
which was amazing! Then we had to fly back to Oahu to get back to the mainland so between those flights we went back to the Aloha Stadium and did more bartering. We had a little surprise when we got home, Bruce in the midst of catching numerous amounts of geckos down there had also found some gecko eggs.
Some of which made the flight home and some which did not. Of the ones that made it home he had 2 hatch... so for a while we had 2 little geckos at home... they didn't really seem to eat the flightless fruitflies that the pet store recommended and we tried several different things but they didn't last too long. :(
